New Hampshire Hospitals To Invest $50 Million To Support State-Funded Addiction Treatment Over 5 Years
On April 6, 2018, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu announced an agreement with the state’s 26 hospitals that will result in the hospitals investing $50 million into the state’s Alcohol Abuse Prevention and Treatment Fund (Alcohol Fund) that the state uses to pay for non-Medicaid prevention, treatment and recovery programs for addiction disorders. The hospitals agreed to contribute the $50 million over five years. The Governor's Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention, Treatment and Recovery, which administers the Alcohol Fund, will identify how to use the new funding.
