On March 29, 2018, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed legislation, House Bill (HB) 2513, to create a fund to support hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for veterans with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). HBOT is used to increase the amount of oxygen in the blood for healing. The fund will be used to pay for HBOT services provided by non-profit Healing Arizona Veterans. The organization was founded in March 2014 to help veterans receive medical care for TBI that they are not receiving through the Veterans Administration.
