New York Expands Electronic Consumer Care Alerts Service Statewide

The New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) recently announced it is expanding its electronic consumer care alerts service statewide through the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY). NYeC assists New York State health care professionals in adopting and effectively using electronic health records (EHRs).

It is anticipated that the statewide expansion will lead to a reduction in hospital readmissions throughout the state, as well as improvement in the quality and delivery of health care.
