Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority To Phase Out Managed Care Network Contracts
On June 13, 2018, the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority (DWMHA) board unanimously approved a resolution to begin a yearlong plan to assume direct responsibility for specialty public behavioral health services in its catchment area. DWMHA will phase out contracts with its four managed care provider networks (MCPNs): Integrated Care Alliance Inc., Community Living Services Inc., CareLink Network, and ConsumerLink Network. The goal is to reduce administrative costs and eliminate task overlaps between the DWMHA and the MCPNs.
