Aetna & Betty Ford Partner With Kenton County, Kentucky On Jail Reentry Program
On August 1, 2018, the Kenton County, Kentucky Detention Center (KCDC), in partnership with Aetna and the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, launched a new program that links jail addiction treatment and community-based reentry services. The program blends in-jail addiction treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) and re-entry preparation with post-release community-based addiction treatment services and case management. Both the in-jail program and the post-release services include medication assisted treatment (MAT), cognitive behavioral therapy, and peer support.
