Arkansas DHS Cancels Contracts With Health Resources Of Arkansas

On July 6, 2018, the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) informed non-profit Preferred Family Healthcare (PFH) dba Health Resources of Arkansas (HRA) that it planned to terminate three contracts with the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) effective August 4, 2018. Under these contracts with DCFS, HRA provided emergency shelter services, residential treatment for children, and counseling for parents involved in the child welfare system in DHS areas 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10. As of July 6, no children were currently being served under the emergency shelter contract; two were served under the residential treatment . . .
