New Massachusetts Law Promotes Early Alzheimer’s Detection & Diagnosis

On August 9, 2018, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker signed a law to promote early Alzheimer’s detection and diagnosis, and strengthen the Commonwealth’s age and dementia friendly initiatives. Key initiatives focus on reducing risk, avoiding preventable hospitalization, and supporting caregivers.

The main provisions of Massachusetts H.4116 “An Act Relative To Alzheimer’s & Related Dementias In The Commonwealth” are as follows:
