Pennsylvania Supreme Court Rules False Advertising Lawsuit Against Golden Living Nursing Homes Can Move Forward
On September 26, 2018, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that the state’s false advertising complaint can move forward against the Golden Gate National Senior Care (GGNSC) Golden Living nursing home chain. The complaint was filed by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General (OAG). The state alleges that GGSNC engaged in deceptive conduct to entice the public to select its facilities, and then provided substandard care. The complaint was returned to the Commonwealth Court for additional consideration.
The OAG initially filed the complaint in 2015 against a series of entities which operated 25 Golden Living nursing homes throughout Pennsylvania . . .
