Athenahealth Sold To Elliott Management & Veritas Capital For $5.7 Billion, Plans To Merge With Virence Health
Elliott Management and Veritas Capital are partnering up to purchase Athenahealth for a price of $5.7 billion. It is anticipated that the transaction will close during the first quarter of 2019.
Once the acquisition is complete, the two private equity firms plan to combine Athenahealth and software provider organization Virence Health, with the newly formed entity operating under Athenahealth’s brand.
