Los Angeles To Pilot Backyard Housing Model For Reducing Homelessness
The City of Los Angeles will pilot a backyard housing model to help reduce homelessness. The goal is to create enough units over three years to house 1,750 homeless people. The new program will launch in the spring of 2019.
The model is called the "Second Dwelling Unit (Accessory Dwelling Unit, or ADU) Pilot Program."
