Medical therapy device organization Medtronic recently announced its plans to acquire nutrition data startup Nutrino Health (Nutrino). The financial terms of the purchase have not been disclosed.

According to Medtronic, the Israeli-based Nutrino will be rolled into it Diabetes Group and its data will assist Medtronic in improving its diabetes management capabilities. Nutrino has a food database, food analysis system, and offers nutrition expertise for individuals living with diabetes. Nutrino also has a nutrition platform, FoodPrint, that helps consumers assess how they respond to different foods.
