Orlando, Florida-based non-profit health network Orlando Health (Orlando) recently announced it is selecting Epic EHR (Epic) as its new electronic health record (EHR) platform. Orlando will transition to what is being referred to as a new comprehensive health record.

Through the move, Orlando hopes to better connect its hospitals, practices, and outpatient care centers, as well as consolidate the health information of all the people it provides care for under one combined health record. It is anticipated that the Epic implementation will begin in March 2019, with full deployment being completed by 2021.
