Medicare Nursing Home Compare ratings for overall facility performance are not valid predictors of 90-day complications, readmission, and bundle costs for Medicare beneficiaries discharged to a skilled nursing facility (SNF) after primary total joint arthroplasty (TJA). The Medicare Nursing Home Compare overall facility performance rating is composed of three components—staffing, health inspection results, and quality measure performance.
