New Jersey Medicaid To Add Autism Services As A Plan Benefit
The New Jersey Medicaid program is planning to add autism services as a state plan benefit. Currently autism services for Medicaid beneficiaries are available only through a pilot program. The New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS) in conjunction with Department of Children and Families, Children’s System of Care (DCF/CSOC) intends to seek federal approval to include autism spectrum disorder-related services as part of the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit.
On January 3, 2019, DMAHS issued a notice for a 30-day public comment period . . .
