New York Court Of Appeals Upholds Ruling On 24-Hour Home Health Shifts To Allow Paying For Only 13 Hours If Meal & Sleep Breaks Are Provided

On March 23, 2019, the New York State Court of Appeals upheld a ruling that said home health provider organizations are not required to pay non-live-in home health care attendants who work 24-hour shifts for more than 13 hours of work as long as the workers are provided with scheduled, uninterrupted sleep and meal times.
