Virginia Community Services Boards Reach STEP-VA Goal Of Same-Day Access

As of March 2019, all 39 of Virginia’s local Community Services Boards (CSBs) and the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), which provide access to public mental health services had implemented same day access, a provision of the state's larger System Transformation Excellence and Performance (STEP-VA). The Virginia Department Of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) developed STEP-VA to provide easier access to public mental health services; ensure a uniform set of services across all CSBs, and ensure accountability across CSBs.
