Four States Non-Compliant With Oversight Requirements For Adult Day Care Centers & Foster Care Homes
Four states— Illinois, Minnesota, Mississippi, and Wisconsin—did not fully comply with federal waiver and state requirements for overseeing adult day care centers and foster care homes. State officials in three of the states-- Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Mississippi—attributed the lack of compliance to low staffing levels and insufficient training that limited the states' oversight and monitoring of facilities.
