Nebraska Governor Announces Launch Of Addiction Medicine Fellowship
Governor Pete Ricketts announced the launch of Nebraska's first addiction medicine fellowship program. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the Attorney General’s office, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) teamed up to create the program and will partner to oversee it. The training emphasizes the management of medical, psychiatric, and social conditions in the comprehensive care of these individuals and is informed by a wide range of evidence-based interventions.
