GreenLight Fund Cincinnati & Hamilton County Launching New Program For Older Foster Youth

On August 8, 2019, GreenLight Fund Cincinnati and Hamilton County Job and Family Services (HCJFS) announced plans to launch My First Place for Youth, a program for transition-age youth in foster care. The program will help nearly 100 children and adolescents each year in Hamilton County with housing, education, and employment services. HCJFS will match GreenLight’s initial $600,000 investment with $6.5 million in ongoing support. The model, which is new to Cincinnati, Ohio, will be operated by St. Joseph Orphanage and Pressley Ridge. The program will launch on January 1, 2020.
