Texas DFPS Expands Contract With Our Community Our Kids To Add Case Management

On October 18, 2019, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) announced the expansion of its community-based foster care (CBC) contract with Our Community Our Kids (OCOK) in Region 3b (North Texas) to include case management and full responsibility for the region’s foster care system. Beginning in March 2020, OCOK will manage the full continuum of care provided to children in foster care and their families, including management of kinship care placements. The region includes Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, and Tarrant counties.
