New York Court Blocks New Medicaid Rates For Consumer-Directed Personal Assistance Program
On October 11, 2019, the Albany County Supreme Court in New York State blocked the state Department of Health (DOH) from implementing a new reimbursement methodology for the Medicaid Consumer-Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP). The new methodology would have resulted in a 15% reimbursement rate cut for fiscal intermediary provider organizations. The rates had been slated to go into effect on September 1, 2019 for fee-for-service CDPAP services.
