23% Of Provider Organizations Have Launched ‘Successful’ Value-Based Care Pilots
A survey of 2,900 health care professionals found that about 23% of health care executive respondents say their organizations have started value-based care pilots that they feel are successful. More than 45% said they understand value-based care and have implemented some of its elements in their organizations.
Additional findings include:
About 28% of health care executives say that addressing social determinants of health (SDOH) is the biggest challenge when implementing value-based care. This is followed by integrating care coordination into the team (about 25%), and engaging consumers in the process (about 23%).
