Over 25% Of Physicians Are Using Digital Tools
From 2016 to 2019, the share of physicians using digital health tools increased from 14% to 28%, according to a survey by the American Medical Association (AMA). Specifically:
Adoption of remote consumer monitoring and management for clinical improvement rose from 13% in 2016, to 22% in 2019. Remote monitoring tools are mobile applications and devices for use by chronic disease consumers for daily measurement of vital signs, such as weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, etc. Readings are visible to consumers and transmitted to the physician's office. Alerts are generated as appropriate for missing or out of range readings.
