University Of Maryland Medical System Announces Acquisition Of Nine ChoiceOne Urgent Care Sites

The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) has purchased full interests in nine ChoiceOne Urgent Care sites in Baltimore, Caroline, Harford, and Talbot counties and Baltimore City. The transaction was effective March 1, 2020; financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Three UMMS affiliates – University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC), University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH), and University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH), had operated the sites under joint ventures with Choice One, a subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care since 2015.
