Minnesota DHS Issues Legal Changes To Telemedicine & Related Programs
The Minnesota Department of Human Services is issuing a number of legal changes to telemedicine and related programs for health care professionals and consumers during the global pandemic. DHS temporarily expanded access to telemedicine for Minnesotans enrolled in Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare who receive health care, mental health treatment, or addiction treatment. Specifically, the commissioner expanded the provider organizations who are permitted to provide services through telephone and video visits to include the certain provider organizations and their tribal provider organization equivalents.
