10% Of Veterans With Diabetes Discharged With Intensified Diabetes Medications
About 10% of veterans over age 65 with diabetes were discharged from a hospitalization with changes intensifying their outpatient diabetes medication regimens. Nearly half of those who received intensified medications were unlikely to benefit because they had already reached outpatient blood glucose goals or had limited life expectancy.
