HHS Distributes $4.9 Billion In Emergency Funds To Skilled Nursing Facilities
On May 22, 2020, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it began distributing nearly $4.9 billion in relief funds to 13,237 skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) to help them respond to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This funding, which supplements previously announced provider organization relief funds, will be used to support nursing homes that have experienced significant expenses or lost revenue attributable to COVID-19.
