Prime Healthcare Completes Acquisition Of St. Francis Medical Center From Verity Health In Los Angeles, California

On August 14, 2020, Prime Healthcare (Prime) announced it completed its acquisition of St. Francis Medical Center, a 384-bed medical facility in Los Angeles County, California. The facility was owned by Verity Health, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2018. Prime will continue service lines, charity care, and community benefits while investing millions in technology, systems, and infrastructure improvements to modernize the delivery of consumer-centered care. Prime is extending offers of employment to nearly all staff.
