Catholic Charities DC Distributed 500 Food Boxes

On August 21, 2020, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, District of Columbia (Catholic Charities DC) distributed 500 grocery boxes and ready-to-eat meals to families who have been affected by the economic downturn. Each car received a package of food that included about seven pounds of meat and fish and 10 pounds of fresh produce. The packages also included a prepared family meal created by the eight-person staff of Catholic Charities DC’s KitchenWork program, a catering and job training pilot program based in Hyattsville, Maryland.
