West Virginia Sistersville General Hospital To Merge With Ohio-Based Memorial Health System
On October 1, 2020, Sistersville General Hospital in Tyler County, West Virginia, will merge with Ohio-based Memorial Health System. The two organizations began exploring a merger in the spring of 2020. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed. Sistersville will continue to operate under its current name; current employees will be offered positions.
Non-profit Memorial Health System has locations in southeastern Ohio and the northwestern parts of West Virginia. It offers a network of services through two hospitals in Marietta, Ohio; a free standing emergency room in Belpre, Ohio; outpatient service sites, and 64 provider organization clinics . . .
