North Dakota DHS Freezes Enrollment For Addiction Disorder Voucher Program
The North Dakota Department of Human Services (DHS) froze new enrollments to its Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment voucher program, as of July 1, 2020, after funding for the program was exhausted. The program benefits will continue for people enrolled prior to July 1, 2020. All current participants will continue to receive all needed services; none were ended or discontinued.
The SUD voucher program is intended to improve access to quality addiction disorder treatment services and allow for individual choice, by providing reimbursement where other third-party reimbursement is not available. It serves individuals ages 14 and up. The vouchers . . .
