United Providers Of Health Awarded $7 Million North Carolina Contract For Preventive Care & Supports For Targeted Communities
On October 1, 2020, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) announced it awarded a $7 million contract to United Providers of Health (UPOH) to address unmet health care needs of historically marginalized communities. The sole source contract is to provide preventative health care services, connections to mental health supports and help securing non-medical social determinants of health such as food and housing.
