On October 15, 2020, the North Dakota Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that it was planning to expand access to addiction treatment services for individuals eligible for traditional Medicaid coverage. North Dakota Medicaid will pay a flat rate per week for a bundle of services related to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorders.
