UnitedHealthcare Launches Virtual Primary Care Service For Employer-Sponsored Plans

On January 14, 2021, UnitedHealthcare (UHC) launched a Virtual Primary Care service for members employer-sponsored plans. Currently the new virtual service is available for UHC members enrolled in fully insured and self-insured employer plans in Arizona, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Using a mobile device or personal computer, members eligible for Virtual Primary Care can access the following services:

Annual wellness visits and appointments for minor ailments
Regular follow-ups and checkups for ongoing conditions like asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes and more
Writing prescriptions
