On January 26, 2021, Humana’s care delivery organization subsidiary Partners in Primary Care announced plans to add 20 new primary care centers during 2021, and 20 more during 2022. By 2023, the organization anticipates that it will operate about 100 primary care centers across the United States. The payer-agnostic centers serve people enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans sponsored by any payer as well as original Medicare enrollees. The centers are often located in underserved areas that previously offered minimal access to primary care for seniors.
