New York Officially Launches COVID-19 ‘Vaccine Passport’
On March 26, 2021, the New York Department of Health launched the Excelsior Pass, which serves as a digital “vaccine passport” to demonstrate whether a person has received a vaccination for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) or negative test results. The Excelsior Pass can be stored digitally on a smartphone with the Excelsior Pass Wallet app, available at no cost from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. A hard copy of the pass can be downloaded and printed from the Excelsior Pass website.
People who obtain the pass can use it as proof of their COVID-19 vaccination . . .
