60 Provider Organizations Chosen By CMS For The New ‘Value In Opioid Use Disorder Treatment’ Demonstration

On April 8, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) selected 60 applicants to participate in the new Value In Opioid Use Disorder Treatment demonstration. The selected applicants propose to serve eligible Medicare beneficiaries in select counties within 37 states and the District of Columbia. The first performance year of the four-year demonstration will begin in April 2021 and runs through December 31, 2021. The demonstration ends on December 31, 2024.

The applicants include the following provider organization types:

One community mental health center (CMHC)
One critical access hospital
Two rural health clinics
Three hospital outpatient departments . . .
