Vail Health Is Planning Behavioral Health Facility For Edwards, Colorado
Vail Health plans to open an inpatient behavioral health facility for adolescents and adults in Edwards, Colorado. The facility will be operated by a wholly owned subsidiary, Eagle Valley Behavioral Health. The facility will provide short-term stabilization and therapeutic services; the average length of stay is projected to be seven days before the consumer transitions to community-based intensive outpatient services.
The need for the facility was identified in 2018. The Vail Health board of directors committed $160 million to address the behavioral health crisis.
