53 Organizations Participating In The Medicare Global & Professional Direct Contracting Model
On April 8, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that 53 Direct Contracting Entities (DCEs) will participate in the Global and Professional Direct Contracting (GPDC) model for performance year 2021, which started April 1, 2021. The DCEs are similar to Medicare Advantage plans and accountable care organizations (ACOs) in that the DCEs are risk-bearing entities managing the care of a panel of Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) beneficiaries.
