After the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency began in March 2020, 31 states expanded Medicaid reimbursement for school-based telehealth services. Prior to the public health emergency, 24 state Medicaid programs allowed reimbursement for telehealth services provided in school settings.
