On June 4, 2021, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released finalized documents and supporting resources for the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and In Lieu of Services (ILOS) components of the upcoming California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) initiative. ECM is a whole-person, interdisciplinary approach to comprehensive care management, which addresses the clinical and non-clinical needs of high-cost, high-need managed care members.
