Steward Health Care System To Acquire Tenet Hospital Operations In South Florida For $1.1 Billion

Steward Health Care System, LLC (Steward) and Tenet Healthcare Corporation have signed a definitive agreement for a $1.1 billion acquisition. Steward will acquire five Tenet hospitals, related hospital operations, and associated physician practices in the Miami-Dade and Southern Broward counties in Florida. The transaction is Steward’s first acquisition since finalizing full physician control and leadership of the organization in the summer of 2020.
