CMS Revokes Former Approval Of Arizona & Indiana Medicaid Work Requirement Waivers
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) officially revoked its approvals of Arizona's and Indiana’s Medicaid work and community engagement requirements to maintain Medicaid eligibility. CMS had approved Arizona’s waiver on January 18, 2019. On October 26, 2020, CMS had conditionally approved an extension of the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) to permit the state to require work and community engagement activities.
