California Senate Bill 92: Juvenile Justice

On May 14, 2021, the California Senate published this Senate Bill 92 regarding juvenile justice. The bill would make technical and conforming changes to implement the realignment of wards from the Division of Juvenile Justice to county-based custody, including:

Require a court to consider, as an alternative to commitment to the Division of Juvenile Justice, placement in local programs established as a result of the realignment of wards from the Division of Juvenile Justice to county-based custody.
