Wisconsin-based Rogers Behavioral Health is providing $1 million to Milwaukee’s new Mental Health Emergency Center (MHEC), which is under construction. The MHEC is a joint venture between the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division and four of the area’s health systems: Advocate Aurora Health, Ascension Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin, and Froedtert Health. The center was recently awarded $5.7 million in state funding. The MHEC is expected to open in early 2022 and will serve adults, adolescents, and children in need of crisis services.
