Oklahoma DHS Starts Assessments To Eliminate I/DD HCBS Waiting List

On September 1, 2021, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) began assessments to eliminate the waiting list for developmental disability home- and community-based services (HCBS). There are more than 5,800 people on the waiting list; the average wait time is 13 years. The assessments are being conducted by Liberty of Oklahoma Corporation under a contract awarded on May 21, 2021. The assessments are to be completed during calendar year 2022.
