The Alliance of Health Care Unions (Alliance), which represents 21,000 Kaiser Permanente (KP) health care workers in California and Oregon, informed KP that a labor dispute strike was authorized to begin November 15, 2021, at 7 a.m. The notice stated no end date for the strike.

Members United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals (UNAC/UHCP), USW Local 7600, and OFNHP, which are part of the Alliance, voted to authorize a strike after contract negotiations with KP stalled.
