Child and Family Services Improvement and Innovation Act (H.R. 2883)
September 30, 2011 On October 1, 2011, new federal child welfare provisions went into effect that require states to focus on caseworker staffing and provide enhanced ongoing oversight and coordination of health care services, including mental health, for children in foster care. The provisions fall into five key categories affecting title IV-B and title IV-E agencies.
