Oracle To Buy Cerner For $28.3 Billion
Oracle Corporation and Cerner Corporation jointly announced an agreement for Oracle to acquire Cerner through an all-cash tender offer valued at $28.3 billion. Cerner provides digital information systems, including electronic health records (EHRs), used within hospitals and health systems. After the acquisition closes, Cerner will become a dedicated industry business unit of Oracle. The transaction is expected to close during calendar year 2022.
