Texas Appeals Court Halts Child Abuse Investigation Of Child Undergoing ‘Gender Transitioning’

On March 11, 2022, the Travis County District Court halted child abuse investigations of parents and families of youth undergoing "gender transitioning" practices. The preliminary statewide injunction follows a temporary restraining order to block the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) from investigating the plaintiffs of a lawsuit brought by parents working with medical professionals to provide their adolescent child with "gender affirming care".
